As a Safari Tour Operator we are in control of things like our driver-guide – the activities and lodges where you will be staying, however we do not control roads, newly broken bridges, the weather, and the attitude of employees at accommodations.  Your Tour-Guide is the one who makes the Safari happen on the ground. Read our Terms and Conditions for Peace of mind.

Please take a moment and read the terms and conditions of TX SAFARI & ADVENTURE services. Confirming a safari with TX SAFARIS & ADVENTURES assumes that you have read, fully understand and accept the terms and conditions described below.

In these terms and conditions, “you”, “the client”, “Customer” refer to the all the persons named in the booking (including anyone who is added or substituted at a later date) whereas “we”, “TSA”, “The Company”, and “us” means TX SAFARIS & ADVENTURES. These terms are amended from time to time due to changing circumstances; the terms at the time of booking are the terms that are valid.

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a tour booking, agree to provide full, complete and accurate information to TX SAFARIS & ADVENTURES. This means that you are responsible for making all payments due in connection with your Tour booking, notifying TX SAFARIS AND ADVENTURES or your travel agent if any changes or cancellations are required and keeping your party informed.

By booking on behalf of another person or persons, you represent and warrant that you have obtained all required consents. You are responsible for verifying that any information you provide on behalf of another participant is complete and accurate and that we will under no circumstances be liable for any errors or omissions in the information provided to complete a booking.

Whereas the standard minimum age for minors travelling on any Tour is 12 years old the company shall make an extra effort to accommodate all minors irrespective of their age provided there is an adult to accompany them. This ensures that all arrangements are made to your complete satisfaction.

There is no minimum fixed percentage of deposit set for you to confirm a tour as this should entirely depend on the cost and the activities included in safari agenda. Any down payments required should be communicated by the TX SAFARIS manager. Some Tour operators ask for any amount between 30 to 50% of the tour cost but sometimes there are trips where the cost of permits and/or country airplane tickets is even more than 80% of the overall tour cost with nearly everything having to be fully paid well ahead of time – while other tours may require no permits or local flights hence very little or probably no deposit may be necessary to confirm your safari tour booking. If you are booking a tour that is scheduled at least 16 weeks away, your minimum deposit should be able to cover the cost of gorilla and/or chimpanzee permits or even country airplane tickets if appropriate. Some safari lodges may ask for a fraction of the room cost to confirm your booking but this should be in the covered in the deposit required by TX SAFARIS bookings manager.

On issuance of an e-mail confirmation of your payment or a TX SAFARIS official receipt, your booking is confirmed and a contract exists as per the agreed safari itinerary. Reservations made within thirty days of departure require the total amount due to be paid at the time of confirmation and if there is not deposit required, this shall be communicated by the manager.

For safaris that include Gorilla and/or Chimpanzee trekking scheduled in the peak season months of the year, advance bookings of at least twelve weeks are strongly recommended. Cancellations may allow for shorter term bookings, but it is strongly advised to book well ahead of time if specific dates are needed. Children under fifteen are not allowed to trek the gorillas.

Complaints and Special Request by the Customer

Contrary to Western style terms and conditions, most services in Tanzania  are paid for by cash prior to departure. Local conditions make cash refunds problematic if inconsistencies are not solved on site.

Please let the driver/guide know immediately if you are inconvenienced in any manner during your trip. Many issues can be resolved either by the driver/guide or by the head office. A senior member of staff is on call 24 hours a day to help resolve issues that may arise.

If the client has an unresolved complaint, a written statement with details should be delivered to the Executive Director of TX SAFARIS & ADVENTURES I8 not later than 21 days following completion of the trip. This gives us sufficient time to investigate the matter and respond appropriately. Failure to lodge in your complaint within the time limit holds us not liable.

Clients with special requests must specify such requests to the company at the time of booking the tour. Whilst the company will always endeavor to accommodate such requests, it does not guarantee that it will always be possible.

Special Requirements by the Customer

Clients with special requests must specify such requests to the company at the time of booking the tour. The Company will use reasonable efforts to accommodate special requirements or requests but this is not always possible given the nature of the destinations visited and availability of options outside a planned itinerary. Certain activities may be inaccessible to you if your mobility is limited in any way.

All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be disclosed at the time of booking. Whilst the company will always endeavor to accommodate such requests, it does not guarantee that it will always be possible. Any special requests or requirements do not form part of these Terms or the contract between you and the company and we are not liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfil such requests.

Viewing Animals:

When it comes to game viewing, please be advised there are no guarantees. It is a privilege to see animals in their natural habitat. Take only a photograph; leave only a footprint.

Though we have terms of service and legal language our aim is to create a memorable time in Tanzania main land and Zanzibar on Safari and we normally succeed at that in a mutually satisfying manner.
